Gilmorton Village History Group Update – June 2019
On Wednesday 15th May at 10.00am we had our first coffee morning. It was for everyone and anyone, members and non members, to simply relax and have a chat and a cuppa and say ‘hello’. We were not sure how it would be received but on the day it was very successful and well attended. Visitors found that there was more time to sit and chat and have a good read of our archive folders – something they felt they hadn’t the time to do at the normal events. We plan to run it again later in the year.
Everything is now in place for the Arboretum trip for June 17th. There are a couple of seats left if you are interested. For those going on the trip the coach will leave the Grey Goose car park in Gilmorton at 9.00am
PROMPT.
PLEASE NOTE: The coach cannot wait.
Our next event – June 18/19th is called “A walk through the village”. Literature will be made available detailing various short walks from the village hall with information about buildings and features along the way. You may do a ‘virtual’ walk from the “comfort of the village hall” but weather permitting, and if you decide to, you can do an actual walk.
If you have any contributions for the event please let us know in advance.
